Davos (Romansh: Tavau, archaic Italian: Tavate, local German pronunciation [daˈvoːs])[3] is a municipality in the district of Prättigau/Davos in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It has a permanent population of 11,248 (2009). Davos is located on the Landwasser River, in the Swiss Alps, between the Plessur and Albula Range. At 1,560 m (5,120 ft), it is the highest city in Europe.

1. Waldhotel Davos
I ended up going to Davos Switzerland while already on our month long Europe trip. Had we known what Waldhotel Davos offered and how beautiful and stunning Davos was, we would have stayed longer! Great customer service.
2.Steigenberger Belvedere
Stayed at Steinberger for some nights in September 2011. Beautiful area, excellent service at the hotel, friendly staff. Clean and big rooms with balconies (I had 3) – what more can you wish, except cheaper pricing 
. This is definately not for budget travellers.
